[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시 도시개발과는 정부 우수사례 공모에서 받은 시상금을 이태원 참사 희생자 지원을 위해 써달라며 상금 전액을 경남사회복지공동모금회에 전달했다고 9일 밝혔다.
지난 3일 환경부와 국토교통부가 주최한 ‘2022 순환골재 및 순환골재 재활용제품 우수활용사례 공모’에서 국토부장관상을 수상하며 부상으로 받은 상금 50만원이다.
시는 지난 2016년 착수한 ‘사이언스파크 일반산업단지 진입도로 개설공사’에 순환골재 및 순환아스콘 2만8천㎥를 사용해 약 3억 원의 예산을 절감, 친환경 자원순환에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 국토부장관으로부터 표창과 상금을 수상했다.
도시개발과 직원들은 기부를 결정하고 이렇게나마 도움을 드릴 수 있어 얼마나 감사한지 모른다며 동참할 수 있음에 감사드린다고 한목소리로 말했다.
박상경 도시개발과장은 “직원들의 뜻을 모아 비록 적은 금액이지만 지난 국가 애도기간 중 상금을 수령한 만큼 전 국민의 애도 물결에 동참하고자 이태원 참사 희생자 지원에 기부하기로 했다”고 밝혔다.
