제400회 경상남도의회 정례회 기간 동안 열린 경상남도교육청 행정사무감사 현지 감사에서 박동철 도의원은 도내 중·고등학교의 개인정보동의서 관리 상태를 확인하고자 임의로 학교와 학반을 지정해 확인한 결과, 개인정보동의서를 전혀 받지 않거나 관리가 소홀하다고 지적했다.
박 의원은 “개학일이 3월 2일인데, 개학일에 학부모까지 다 서명이 되어 있는 점이 이상하다”고 지난 9월 도정질의에서 개인정보보호의 중요성에 대해 언급하고 지적하였으나, 여전히 문제를 인식하지 못하고 있다며 우려했다.
지난 3월 추진된 아이톡톡 플랫폼은 학생들의 데이터를 수집하고 분석해 학생들의 맞춤형 진로교육을 한다는 취지로 개인정보 동의서를 받았다.
