세종시의회, 공공시설물 인수점검 특별위원회 본격활동

세종시의회 제5기 공공시설물 인수점검 특별위원회(이하 공공특위)가 본격 활동에 들어갔다.

앞서 공공특위는 지난 8일 새롭게 위촉된 시민참여특별점검반과 첫 상견례를 갖고 내년 개청을 앞둔 나성동 복합커뮤니티센터를 방문해 합동 점검을 실시했다.

이날 점검에는 공공시설물 인수점검 특별위원회(이하 공공특위) 위원과 시민참여특별점검반, 행복청 및 관계 공무원 등 50여명이 참석했다. 이번 제5기 공공특위는 시민참여특별점검반과 함께 본격적인 활동을 시작하는 것이어서 그 의미를 더했다.

공공특위와 시민참여특별점검반은 행복청 관계자로부터 복합커뮤니티센터에 대한 시설물 현황을 보고 받은 후 시민 안전과 이용 편의 향상을 위한 공간별 위험 요인과 부실시공 여부 등을 꼼꼼히 점검했다.

점검에서 ▲계단 난간 체결 미흡 ▲계단 옆 추락 방지 시설 보강 ▲모래놀이터 손 세척 시설 추가 ▲주차장 내 주차 위치 확인용 기둥 표시 추가 등을 지적했으며, 특히 보육시설 내 조리실과 화장실 동선이 겹쳐 위생 문제 발생의 우려가 있는 만큼 개선을 요구하는 목소리도 나왔다.

공공특위는 현장점검에서 발견된 미흡한 시공 등 보완이 필요한 사항에 대해 집행부와 협의를 거쳐 행복청 등 관계 기관에 신속한 후속 조치를 요구할 예정이다. 이후 조치 결과에 대한 회의를 거쳐 행복청으로부터 해당 공공시설물을 최종 인수할 방침이다.
