[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 유능한 피부미용인을 발굴해 뷰티 산업을 선도할 수 있도록 지원하는 제11회 경상남도지사배 뷰티 피부미용 기능경진대회가 14일 창원컨벤션센터에서 열렸다.

경상남도가 후원하고 한국피부미용사회중앙회 경상남도지회가 주관하는 피부미용 기능경진대회는 최근 K-뷰티가 전 세계적으로 인기가 높아지면서, 피부미용 신기술을 공유하고, 우수 피부미용인 발굴 및 인재육성으로 뷰티산업이 경남의 미래 신성장 동력산업으로 자리매김하기 위해 개최됐다.

2019년 이후 3년 만에 개최되는 이번 온라인 경진대회는 현장 또는 학교에서 기량을 갈고 닦은 일반부와 학생부 선수 200여 명이 출전해 얼굴 및 바디관리 등 6종목 10개 분야에서 경합을 겨뤘다.

이번 대회는 참가자가 사전에 피부미용을 하는 모습을 촬영하여, 한국피부미용사회 중앙회 경상남도지회에 영상을 제출했으며, 심사위원들은 대회 당일 실시간 유튜브 방송을 통해 해당 영상을 시청하면서 채점하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

각 종목별 우수선수 10명에게는 대상인 도지사상이 수여되며, 창원시장상으로 금상과 은상·동상·협회장상·특별상이 수여된다.

박완수 지사는 “이번 대회가 경남 뷰티산업 발전과 우수인력 양성, 피부미용 기술향상을 위한 초석이 되었으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로도 뷰티산업 발전을 위해 지속적인 관심과 노력을 이어가겠다”고 축하했다.
