지난 11일 서울 대치동 섬유센터에서 진행된 제36회 섬유의 날 기념식에서 최 대표이사가 모범경영인 부문 유공자로 선정돼 산업통상자원부 장관상을 수상했다.
최 대표이사는 2003년 이랜드에 입사해 아동패션 브랜드장과 글로벌 스파오 BU장 등을 역임한 뒤 현재 이랜드월드 대표이사로 재직하며 국내 섬유산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 헌신해 왔다. 특히, 국내 섬유패션 중소기업과 상생하며 동반성장을 이끌어온 점을 인정받았다.
이랜드월드는 2016년부터 섬유패션 분야 최초로 대기업과 중소기업의 상생협력 시스템을 구축했고, 성과공유제, 생산성혁신, 기술임치, 특허출원 기술지원 및 교육, 공동 연구개발 등을 통해 중소기업과의 동반성장을 통한 산업 발전에 기여했다.
또한, ‘국내 2일 생산 시스템 구축’을 통해 국내 생산 비중을 지속적으로 늘리고 있으며, 지난해부터 ESG 시스템을 경영에 도입한 이래로 국내 중소기업 20여 개사의 ESG 경영 시스템 도입을 지원했다. 대리점의 안정적인 경영과 매출 증대를 위한 시스템을 통해 국내 섬유패션 분야 최초로 ‘대리점 동행기업’에 선정되기도 했다.
