[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 17일 오전 해양수산정책 현장 점검을 위해 창원을 방문한 조승환 해양수산부 장관에게 동북아 항만물류 중심도시 건설을 위한 시정현안을 공유하고, 주요 현안사업이 차질 없이 추진해 줄 것을 건의했다고 밝혔다.
인구 100만 이상의 특례시로서 관내 무역항(마산항, 진해항, 신항·진해신항)과 313km의 해안선을 가지고 있는 국내 유일의 도시로, 항만과 도시의 조화로운 발전을 지역발전의 핵심요소로 보고, 이를 위해 도시개발계획과 항만개발을 위한 핵심 사업에 대해 중앙정부의 지원을 요청해왔다.
