[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 17일 부산항 신항 및 배후지역 일원에서 ‘항만 전문 인력 양성을 위한 대학생 항만 현장 투어 행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 지역 대학교 중 항만물류 관련 학과 대학생들을 대상으로 지역 항만에 대한 관심도를 제고하고, 항만 분야로의 진출 기회를 확대하고자 시행됐다.
시는 부산항 신항 내 컨테이너 화물 시스템을 현장에서 직접 보고 항만물류시스템에 대한 현장 관계자의 설명과 더불어, 항만 분야 전문가 특강 및 보세화물 전문관리자(보세사)를 초청해 관련 분야 진출에 필요한 다양한 정보를 들을 수 있는 토크콘서트를 마련하는 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 행사를 개최했다.
홍남표 창원특례시장은 “2023년부터 부산항 신항 서컨 터미널 3선석 개장에 따라 진해신항 2023년~2040년 개발계획 등, 전문적이고 체계적인 교육훈련을 통해 지역과 기업이 요구하는 전문인력 양성이 필요한 상황이다”고 말했다.
이어 “이번 행사를 통해 우리 지역의 관련 학과 대학생들이 항만 분야로의 진출 기회가 확대되는 마중물이 되기를 희망하며, 앞으로도 지역 대학생들에게 항만 현장의 목소리를 들을 수 있는 기회를 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
