[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 19일 오후 2시 유니세프 한국위원회가 주최하고 유니세프 경남후원회가 주관하는 ‘제3회 유니세프 희망걷기 대회’를 마산합포구 돝섬해상유원지에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.
‘복을 드리는 황금돼지섬’으로 알려진 돝섬에서 열린 ‘제3회 유니세프 희망걷기 대회’는 유니세프 아동친화도시를 홍보하고 아동 권리인식 확산과 시민 건강증진을 위해 마련됐으며, 최형두 국회의원, 시·도 의원 등 시민과 학생 등 500여 명이 참가했다.
대회를 위해 돝섬을 찾은 시민들은 가족과 친구 등이 돝섬 일원을 걸으며 아동이 마땅히 누려야 할 생존권, 보호권, 발달권, 참여권을 보호하자는 데 의견을 같이했다. 약 1.5km 상당의 힐링 코스를 걸으며 일상에서 받은 스트레스를 풀고 건강을 다지는 재충전의 시간도 겸했다.
또한, 유니세프 경남후원회는 회원들이 모금한 기부금 1000만 원을 유니세프 한국위원회에 기부했으며, 기금은 전 세계 아동을 위한 보건, 영양, 식수·위생, 교육, 보호, 긴급구호 등에 사용된다.
