브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 동원산업이 주식 액면분할 진행을 위해 23일부터 3일간 거래를 정지한다. 분할된 동원산업 주식은 오는 25일 효력발생을 거쳐 28일부터 거래가 재개된다.
앞서 동원산업은 동원엔터프라이즈를 흡수합병해 통합 지주사로 올라서는 과정에서 5분의 1 수준의 액면분할을 동시에 추진해왔다. 주당 단가를 낮추고 유통 주식 수를 늘려 거래를 활성화함으로써 기업 및 주주가치를 높이기 위한 조치다.
이에 따라 기존 액면가 5000원이 1000원으로 낮아지면서 총 발행주식은 999만6533주에서 4998만2665주로 5배 늘어난다.
동원산업 관계자는 “통합 지주사 체제를 출범하면서 주주가치 제고를 목적으로 액면분할을 함께 추진해왔다”며 “앞으로 시장과의 적극적인 소통을 통해 동원산업의 기업가치가 한층 높아지길 기대한다”고 말했다.
