[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시의회 의원연구단체인 청년정책연구회는 25일 의회 대회의실에서 하반기 의원연구단체 활동을 마무리하는 최종보고회 및 토론회를 열었다.
이번 보고회는 연구회 소속 의원을 비롯해 용역 수행기관 관계자 및 내빈 등 40여명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 창원시의회 김이근 의장의 축사를 시작으로 그동안 진행해 온 「지역 청년 계층 세분화와 각 층별 정책 방안 제시 및 연구」 용역 결과를 발표했다.
이어진 토론회는 창원시의회 이해련 의원이 좌장을 맡고 박형준 연구위원(창원시정연구원 도시공간연구실), 박정의 팀장(경남청년센터 센터장직무대리), 오승엽 대표(조은인푸드 대표) 등이 참석해 연구 결과에 대한 열띤 토론을 벌였다.
연구회 소속 의원들은 창원시가 제공하는 다양한 사업을 청년이 활용할 수 있도록 홍보를 강화하고, 지원금 지급 중심의 정책뿐 아니라 취업과 주거에 관한 직접 지원 정책에 더욱 주목해야 한다는 의견에 공감했다.
최정훈 대표의원은 “이번 연구를 통해 창원시 청년 인구 감소 원인을 다각도로 파악할 수 있었다”며 “소속 연구회 의원들과 더 깊이 숙고해 창원형 청년 정책의 방향성과 비전을 시정에 반영하도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
