[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 정부는 28일 오후 미래 우주경제 로드맵 선포식에서 우주경제 강국 실현을 위해 「우주항공청 경남 사천 설립」등 6대 정책방향을 담은 미래 우주경제 로드맵을 발표했다.
정부는 우주항공청의 설립 근거가 될 특별법을 연내 입법 예고하고 관계부처와 협의를 마친 후 내년 1분기 내에 국회에 제출해, 상반기 중 국회 의결과 하위법령 정비를 추진할 계획이다.
대통령 훈령은 제정 절차를 완료하고 28일 관보에 게재되어 곧 우주항공설립 추진단이 출범할 예정이다.
추진단은 관련 부처 직원을 포함하는 범정부적인 조직으로 구성되어 우주항공청 특별법 제정과 조직설계, 청사 마련 등 우주항공청 설립의 전반적인 업무를 담당한다.
경남도에서도 추진단에 참여해 우주항공청 설립과 운영 전반에 대해 지역의 입장과 의견을 적극 개진하고 반영해 나간다는 계획이다.
