[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 가야역사문화 정책방안을 모색하기 위한 제2회 가야정책포럼이 29일 경남연구원에서 열렸다.
이번 정책포럼은 정부 주도로 추진되고 있는 ‘역사문화권 정비 5개년 기본계획’을 토대로 경남도와 지자체가 정비 시행계획 수립 시, 관련법에 대한 이해와 함께 정비구역의 지정 및 관련 사업 추진 등에 관한 시행계획 수립 방향과 기준을 마련하기 위해 열렸다.
‘역사문화환경 보존·활용’이라는 주제로 열린 이번 포럼에는 지자체, 학계, 연구기관 등 여러 분야의 전문가 8명이 참여하여 개별 주제에 대한 다양한 시각으로 발표와 토론을 이어나갔다.
심경미 건축공간연구원 연구위원은 ‘역사문화권 정비법의 이해와 시행계획 수립 방향’이라는 주제발표를 통해 정비법-기본계획-시행계획의 내용과 상호 체계에 대해 설명했다.
이어 조신규 함안군 가야사담당은 ‘아라가야 역사도시 조성 추진의 배경 및 계획’이라는 주제 발표를 통해 함안군의 역사문화권 정비법 시행계획 수립 사례를 공유했다.
조진석 전북 공주시 고도육성팀장은 ‘공주 고도보존육성사업의 현황과 과제’ 발표에서 공주시의 고도 지정 과정과 추진 사업에 대한 설명, 성과와 문제점, 향후과제 대해 얘기했다.
홍보식 공주대 사학과 교수는 “고도(古都)로서의 골격 회복을 추구하면서 한편으론 현대적인 시설을 과도하게 설치하는 등 상충된 정책과 시행이 공존하는 지역이 고도다”며 “이러한 상충된 관계를 해소하면서 고도로서의 골격 회복을 위한 담대한 구상이 필요한 시점이라고 생각된다”고 말했다.
경남도 정연보 문화유산과장은 “민선 8기 도정과제인 가야역사문화권의 보존·육성을 위해 가야중심지의 역사문화권 정비구역 및 고도 지정이 될 수 있도록 경남도가 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”며 “이번 정책포럼을 통해,「역사문화권 정비법」의 올해 7월 시행 이후 추진되는 정비시행계획 수립 및 정비구역의 지정 등 사업 추진 관련, 도내 시군이 선제적으로 대응할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
