Kyong-ho Choo, “We must immediately withdraw from the group transport refusal and return to the site.”

Held a meeting with small and medium-sized business owners. Discussed suggestions and policy tasks

Break News Reporter Moon Hong-cheol= Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho urged, “The cargo union must immediately withdraw its refusal to transport the group and return to the site as soon as possible.”

Deputy Prime Minister for Economy, Kyung-Ho Choo, visited the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business at 8:00 on the 1st and held a meeting with small and medium-sized business owners.

Deputy Prime Minister Chu said, “The current economic situation in our country is amid continuing price instability.

“It is a very serious situation in which the economic slowdown is deepening as both production and exports decrease,” he said.

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Chu said, “In such a difficult economic situation, the cargo union’s collective refusal to transport is having a serious negative impact on overall business activities, such as logistics disruptions, raw material and parts procurement, and production and export disruptions.” If this happens, we are greatly concerned that it will lead to an increase in transportation costs due to delays in bringing in and out of cargo and even cancellation of orders from overseas customers,” he pointed out.

“The government has issued an order to start business to transport operators and transport workers in the cement field who are refusing collective transport through a cabinet meeting,” he said. We will minimize the damage to businesses by implementing emergency transportation measures.”

In addition, Bucholi Chu said, "The delivery unit price indexation system, which has been a long-cherished wish of the small and medium-sized business community for 14 years, is as promised by the Yoon Seok-yeol government. We hope that it will be successfully established and help alleviate the burden of raw material price fluctuations for suppliers.”

Lastly, he said, “The government will continue to strengthen its role as a support for SMEs vulnerable to economic crises and carry out policies to support innovative growth at a fundamental level without a hitch.” We plan to continue to pursue policy tasks for reinforcement, regulatory reform, and strengthening competitiveness without a hitch,” he said.
