브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ그룹이 연말을 맞아 사회복지공동모금회에 이웃사랑 성금 20억원을 기탁했다.
이번 성금은 소외 아동·청소년들의 건강한 성장을 위한 문화 및 교육 지원 프로그램을 비롯해, 1인 가구 청년 착한 먹거리 지원사업, 취약계층 일자리 창출 및 플라스틱 재활용 프로그램 등에 사용될 예정이다.
CJ는 ‘나눔’을 통한 기업의 사회적 책임을 실천하기 위해 2015년부터 사회복지공동모금회에 연말 이웃사랑 성금을 전달해 왔으며, 올해까지 총 180억원을 기탁했다.
CJ 관계자는 “최근 불확실한 경제상황이 이어지면서 어려운 시간을 보내고 있는 이웃들에게 성금을 통해서라도 나눔의 온기가 전달되길 희망한다”며 “앞으로도 그룹의 인프라를 활용해 취약계층을 위한 다양한 지원 활동을 지속할 것이다”고 전했다.
한편, CJ는 그룹의 상생철학을 실천하기 위해 다양한 활동을 펼치고 있다. CJ그룹 사회공헌재단인 CJ나눔재단은 온라인 나눔 플랫폼 ‘CJ도너스캠프’를 기반으로 취약계층 아동·청소년을 지원하기 위한 문화 교육과 지역사회 나눔 활동을 전개하고 있으며, 식품 나눔 활동의 일환인 ‘김장 나눔’은 지난 2007년부터 올해까지 16년째 지속하고 있다.
