충남도는 6일 홍성의료원장에 김건식(65·의사)전 경희대학교병원장을 임명했다고 밝혔다.
신임 김 원장의 임기는 2025년 12월 5일까지 3년이다.
김 신임 원장은 경희고, 경희대학교를 졸업하고 경희대 의과대학원 석사 및 고려대 의과대학원 박사 과정을 마쳤다.
마취통증의학과 전문의로 1989년 5월부터 경희대병원에서 근무하는 동안 부원장(3년), 병원장(4년 1월)을 역임했으며, 정년 후에도 명예교수와 지도전문의로 근무했다.
병원장으로 근무하면서 보건복지부 의료질 평가에서 2회에 걸쳐 최상위 등급인 ‘1-가’ 등급을 받는 등 각종 의료 평가조사와 의료전달체계 확립, 수익개선 등의 기틀을 마련하는 성과를 냈다.
