브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 오리온은 8일 충청남도 및 농협중앙회 충남세종지역본부와 ‘농산물 공급 확대 상생협력을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 충청남도청에서 진행된 업무협약 체결식에는 허인철 오리온 부회장과 김태흠 충청남도지사, 이종욱 농협중앙회 충남세종지역본부장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석했다.
오리온의 올해 국내산 감자 소비량 약 1만4000톤 중 충청남도에서 생산된 감자는 4000톤에 달하며, 이번 협약을 계기로 감자 계약재배 농가를 확대하고 우수한 종자를 적극적으로 보급하는 등 ‘포카칩’, ‘스윙칩’ 등 스낵류에 충청남도산 감자 사용 비중을 높여갈 계획이다. 추후 출시하는 신제품에도 충남지역 농산물을 우선적으로 활용할 방침이다.
이와 함께, 품질 좋은 감자의 안정적인 공급을 위해 충청남도는 농가 대상으로 장비와 시설 등 행정적인 지원에 나서고, 농협중앙회 충남세종지역본부는 농가 간 협동조직 구성 지원과 재배기술 교육을 통한 품질관리에 힘쓰는 등 상호 협력하기로 약속했다.
