[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도의회 교육청 소관 예산결산특별위원회(위원장 백태현, 창원 2, 국민의 힘)는 지난 12일부터 13일 양일간 2023년도 경상남도 교육비특별회계 예산안 및 기금운용계획안에 대한 종합심사를 하고 수정안을 가결했다.
경상남도 교육청이 제출한 2023년도 예산안은 7조 1,866억 원 규모로 전년도 예산보다 1조 1,370억 원(18.8%) 증액편성 됐다. 예결특위에서는 이번 예산안에 대해 교원용 스마트단말기, 전자칠판, 사립유치원 무상교육 등 교육청 중점 사업에 대해 면밀히 심사했으며, 심사결과 미래교육AI포럼 7,075만원을 삭감하는 등 306억 원을 감액하는 수정안을 의결하고 총 11건의 부대의견을 채택했다.

백태현 위원장은“이번 예산심사는 코로나19로 야기된 교육결손 회복과 유아교육 공공성 강화, 미래교육환경기반 구축 등 경남교육의 미래를 향상시키는데 중점을 두고 심사했다”며, “집행부에서는 편성된 예산이 효율적이고 투명하게 운영될 수 있도록 최선을 다해줄 것을 당부드린다.”고 말했다.
한편, 예산안은 오는 15일 열릴 제400회 정례회 제5차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다.
