브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 경기도 성남 대장동 개발 비리 의혹의 핵심인 김만배씨가 전날 14일 극단적 선택을 시도했으나 생명에 지장이 없는 것으로 전해졌다.
김만배씨 측은 이에 따라 법원에 재판 연기를 요청했다.
15일 법원에 따르면 김만배씨 측 변호인은 이날 서울중앙지법 형사합의22부(부장판사 이준철)에 기일변경 신청서를 제출했다.
재판부는 김씨가 극단 선택 시도로 인해 병원에서 치료받고 있다는 점을 참작해 다음 재판을 23일 오전 10시로 변경했다. 당초 다음 재판은 16일 오전 10시 예정돼 있었다.
김만배씨는 성남도시개발공사 지분에 따른 최소 651억원 상당의 택지개발 배당 이익과 상당한 시행이익을 화천대유가 부당하게 취득하게 해 공사에 손해를 끼친 혐의 등으로 재판을 받고 있다.

김씨는 지난달 24일 구속기한이 만료돼 석방됐으며 지난 14일 오후 9시52분경 경기 수원시 한 도로 위 자신의 승용차 안에서 자해를 한 뒤 자신의 변호인에게 전화해 이를 알린 것으로 전해졌다.
