[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시가 강소연구개발특구(불모산지구) 전기·기계융합연구단지 조성사업이 2022년 10월 경상남도 도시계획위원회 심의를 통과하고, 15일 자로 개발제한구역이 해제됐다고 밝혔다.
강소연구개발특구는 미래 4차산업혁명에 따른 산업구조 변화에 대응하기 위해 지역내 기술핵심기관과 연계하여 과학기술기반의 소규모·고밀도 자족형 집약공간을 조성·육성하는 연구단지다.
성산구 불모산동 일원 173천여㎡ 구역에 조성되는 강소연구개발특구(불모산지구) 전기·기계융합 연구단지에는 기술핵심기관인 한국전기연구원이 입주할 교육·연구사업화시설구역, 기술개발 이전 기업 및 연구소가 입주할 산업육성구역, 기숙사, 근린생활시설 등이 들어설 산업지원구역이 배치돼 연구단지의 기능을 수행할 예정이다.
