브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 19일 차기 당 대표 및 최고위원 선출 방식을 '당원 투표 100%'로 바꾸는 당헌·당규 개정안을 의결했다.
정진석 비상대책위원장은 이날 국회에서 열린 비상대책위원회에서 "오늘 국민의힘 전체회의에서 당대표 및 최고위원 선출 개정안을 만창일치로 의결해 상임전국위에 회부하기로 했다"면서 "100% 당원 선거인단 투표로 당 지도부를 선출하는 것으로 비대위원들 모두 의견을 모았다"고 밝혔다.
정진석 비대위원장은 "정당은 이념과 철학을 같이하는 사람들이 정권 획득과 성공적인 국정 운영을 위해 모인 집합체"라며 "이념과 철학, 목표가 같은 당원들이 당대표를 뽑아야 하는 것"이라고 개정안 의결 명분을 강조했다.
이에 따라 기존 당원 투표인단 70%, 여론조사 30%의 이른바 7대3 규칙은 당원 투표 100%로 바꾼 것이다.
또한 당 대표의 대표성을 제고하기 위해 최다 득표자의 득표율이 50%가 넘지 않은 경우에는 1, 2위 득표자를 대상으로 한 '결선투표제'를 도입하기로 했다.
비대위는 또한 당내 경선 여론조사 시 국민의힘 지지자와 지지 정당이 없는 무당파만을 대상으로 하는 '역선택 방지 조항'도 의무화하는 개정안도 의결했다.
