브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점은 9일 보도자료를 통해 오는 3월 무역센터점 지하 1층에서 영국 스타 셰프 고든램지(Gordon Ramsay)가 만든 캐주얼 콘셉트 버거 브랜드 ‘고든램지 스트리트 버거(Gordon Ramsay Street Burger)’ 매장을 선보인다고 밝혔다. 2020년 영국 론칭 후 첫 해외 매장이자 아시아 최초 매장이다.
14만원짜리 버거로 유명한 기존 ‘고든램지 버거’보다는 상대적으로 저렴한 캐주얼 버전의 레스토랑으로, 일반적인 버거 브랜드 매장과 달리 직원이 고객에게 직접 서빙하는 게 특징이다.
약 200㎡(60평) 규모의 무역센터점 매장에서는 김치와 베이컨이 들어간 ‘코리안 스매시 버거’, 소고기 패티 기반의 ‘O.G.R 버거’, 프라이드 치킨을 활용한 ‘J.F.C 버거’ 등 총 7가지 버거와 감자튀김, 음료 등을 판매한다. 여기에 채식주의자와 아이들을 위한 채식 버거 및 키즈 메뉴, 디저트 등이 더해져 다양한 고객의 니즈를 충족시키겠다는 계획이다. 구체적인 메뉴 구성과 가격대는 추후 확정될 예정이다.
현대백화점 관계자는 “무역센터점 인근 직장인과 백화점 방문 고객들의 취향을 반영해 패스트푸드점보다는 고급스럽지만 너무 부담스럽지 않은 캐주얼 분위기의 ‘고든램지 스트리트 버거’ 매장을 선보이게 됐다”며 “갈수록 세분화되고 다양해지는 고객 니즈에 맞춰 신규 브랜드를 지속 발굴해 선보일 계획이다”고 말했다.
