[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 다양한 행정수요를 충족하고 군민에게 양질의 행정서비스를 제공하기 위해 청사 증축공사를 착공한다고 지난 9일 밝혔다.
군은 1993년 군청사 신축 이후 30년 만에 증축공사를 통해 부족한 사무공간을 확보하고 산재한 사무실을 한곳으로 모아 행정효율을 높여 나갈 방침이다.
군청사 증축은 지난해 기본계획과 청사 동편 주차장 도유지 확보를 시작으로 지상 5층 연면적 1738㎡의 규모로 총 66억 원의 사업비가 투입될 예정이며, 1층은 필로티 구조로 주차공간을 최대한 확보하고 2층 도시건축과, 3층 건설교통과, 4층 산림과, 5층 환경과 및 인구교육과가 이전할 계획으로 올해 12월 준공을 목표로 공사가 진행될 예정이다.
구인모 거창군수는 “군청사 증축 사업이 안전하게 추진되도록 노력하겠다”며 “2023년은 민선 8기가 실질적으로 출발하는 해인 만큼 ‘더 큰 거창도약, 군민 행복시대’의 군정 슬로건처럼 군민 모두가 더 큰 행복을 누릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
