㈔세계여성평화그룹이 19일 온라인으로 ‘제6회 국제총지부대회’를 열고 118개국 100여개의 지부에서 진행했던 2022년 평화사업 공유 및 ‘2023년 주요 활동 정책’을 발표했다.
올해 IWPG의 슬로건은 '지속가능한 평화를 위한 글로벌 여성 파트너십 강화'이다. 이를 위한 다섯 가지 방향으로 ‘지구촌 전쟁종식 평화 선언문’(DPCW) 지지와 촉구,, 대한민국 지부의 안정화와 해외 지부 설립을 확대,대륙별, 국가별, 계층별, 주제별 교류 협력을 강화, 체계적인 교육 시스템을 구축,UN ECOSOC의 포괄적 협의지위 획득 추진 등을 제시했다.
윤현숙 대표는 총평을 통해 “IWPG가 평화의 길을 걸어온 지 벌써 10년이 됐다”면서 “평화의 정신을 가진 사람들이 있는 곳에 진정한 평화를 이룰 수 있다. 올해는 더 많은 여성이 IWPG의 회원이 되어 평화의 사자로서 함께하고 평화교육이 확산될 수 있도록 힘써 주시기를 부탁한다”고 당부했다.
대회에 참석한 얼린다 올리비아 티우 필리핀 전국여성클럽 연맹 부대표(IWPG 홍보대사)는 축사를 통해 “IWPG가 전쟁종식과 세계평화의 실현을 위해 함께 일하고 있는 100개 이상의 국제 지부가 있는 것을 알고있다”면서 “각 지부가 최소한의 직원을 두고서 그들이 회원과 자원봉사자를 모집하고, 평화구축 활동에 참여하고, 회원을 관리하는 엄청난 일을 하는 것을 지켜본 목격자다. 이런 사명에서 우리는 하나다"라고 말했다.

부문별 우수 지부가 선정돼 각각 20만원씩의 상금과 상장을 받았다. 최다 언론보도 부문에는 인도네시아 지부가 종합 우수상에는 글로벌 2국이 선정돼 상금 50만원과 상장을 받았다.
