[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군 주상면(면장 강준석)은 25일 관내 16개 마을의 어두운 골목길 등에 ‘친환경 태양광 LED 조명등 설치’를 완료했다고 밝혔다.
이번 태양광 LED 조명등 설치 사업은 주민들의 안전한 야간 보행 환경을 개선하기 위한 목적으로 추진됐으며, 설치구역은 마을별로 마을 입구와 안길의 어두운 골목 410여 개소가 대상이다.
태양광 LED 조명등은 전력 공급 없이 낮에 태양 빛 에너지를 충전하여 해가 진 후 조명등에 빛이 켜지는 장치로 탄소가스 배출이 없어 친환경적이고 일반조명보다 설치가 간편해 유지·관리가 쉬우며, 별도의 전기요금이 발생하지 않아 예산 절감 효과도 높을 것으로 기대된다.
신칠식 주상면 주민자치 회장은 “마을 태양광 LED 조명등 설치로 안전사고 예방뿐만 아니라 마을 미관 개선에도 많은 도움이 될 것 같다”고 감사 인사를 전했다.
