살아남으려면, 이 세상에서 하나뿐인 그 무엇? 그 무엇을 찾아내야 한다. 유정염 문화재청 문화재 전문위원(인사동 유아당 대표)을 서울 종로구 인사동에서 만났다.
유 위원은 서화배첩(表具) 분야의 고수(高手). 문화재청 문화재 전문위원, 대한불교조계종 성보위원, 전 동국대 (인제캠퍼스) 만해(한용운) 문학박물관장, 조계종 도선사 청담기념관장 등의 직함이 인간적인 무게를 전해준다. 1978년에 인사동에 입성했으니, 올해로 45년간 인사동을 지켜왔다.
대한민국, 대단한 나라이다. 골목골목, 각 분야의 고수들이 포진해 있는 나라이기 때문이다.

유 위원은 필자가 추진 중인 '서울누드화미술관'에 대하여 자문을 해주기도 한다. 이 분야의 고수로서, 이 분야 지식이 고도로 축적되어 있다.
개인적으로, 은퇴하면? 전라남도 진도에 박물관을 설립할 준비를 착실하게 해왔다.
