고양시는 ‘2023년 산불방지 종합대책’을 마련하고 2월 1일부터 5월 15일까지 산불방지대책본부를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
한편 시는 본청과 각 구청에 산불방지대책본부를 설치하고 산불전문예방진화대 편성, 무인산불감시용 CCTV와 산불감시탑을 통해 산불취약지역 감시체계를 강화하며 노후 산불진화차량 교체, 열화상탐지용 드론 도입 등 산불감시장비를 확충해 감시가 취약한 야간산불을 예방한다.

아울러 청명·한식, 어린이날 등 야외활동이 많은 3월 ~ 5월을 산불특별대책기간으로 정하고, 대형산불 대응을 위한 경찰·소방·국유림관리소 등 산불 유관기관과의 공조체계도 강화할 예정이다.

특히 많은 산불이 입산자 실화, 영농부산물 및 쓰레기 소각행위로 인해 발생하는 만큼 산불예방캠페인, 산불예방 현수막 게시 등 홍보를 적극 실시하고 산불드론을 활용해 불법소각행위 단속에 나설 계획이다.
