브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= bhc그룹은 1일 보도자료를 통해 해바라기 봉사단 7기 2조가 지난달 31일 서울 성동구에 위치한 ‘서울숲’을 찾아 쾌적한 환경 조성을 위한 환경 재정비에 나섰다고 밝혔다.
서울숲은 구축부터 프로그램 운영까지 시민의 참여로 이뤄진 최초의 공원이다. 문화예술공원, 체험학습원, 생태숲, 습지생태원 등 특색 있는 문화 여가 공간이다.
해바라기 봉사단은 올해 첫 봉사활동 장소로 서울숲을 선정, 7기 활동을 시작했다. 이날 해바라기 먹다버린 음식물과 재활용 가능한 쓰레기는 물론, 도로 위 낙엽까지 재정비가 필요한 곳을 중심으로 일대 환경 정화에 나섰다.
bhc그룹 관계자는 “해바라기 봉사단은 2017년 첫 발족 이래 해마다 운영돼 온 bhc그룹 대표 사회공헌 활동”이라며 “올 한해도 bhc그룹은 미래를 이끌어나갈 청년들과 소중한 사회적 가치를 나누며 함께 성장해 나가는 동반자로서 사회공헌 활동에 전폭적인 지지를 아끼지 않을 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, 새롭게 선발된 해바라기 봉사단 7기는 이번 활동을 시작으로 2023년 한 해 동안 매월 지역사회 내 온정의 손길이 필요한 곳을 찾아 나눔을 실천하며 선한 영향력을 전파할 계획이다.
