(사)한국예술문화복지사총연합회(회장 이종현)는 “시인이며 수필가인 조남대 작가는 디카시 「인정의 통로」 가 (사)한국예술문화복지사총연합회(회장 이종현)가 공모한 2022년 예술문화 부문 중 『문학 대상(大賞)』을 수상했다”고 밝혔다.
이 단체는 “2023년 1월 27일 충남 청양군 비봉면 화성농협 사랑관에서 개최된 시상식에서 박수현 前 국회의원이 「인정의 통로」가 디카시 부문 대상으로 선정되었기에 영원히 기리고자 이 폐를 드린다며 시상했다”면서 “디카시는 우리나라 고성에서 제일 먼저 탄생하여 최근에는 교과서에도 게재되는 등 문학의 새로운 장르로 자리를 잡아 널리 퍼지고 있다. 핸드폰으로 이야깃거리가 되는 사진을 촬영하여 느낀 점을 5줄 이내의 짧은 시로 표현하는 것으로 조금만 공부하면 쉽게 접근할 수 있어 독자들로부터 많은 관심을 불러일으키고 있다. 조남대 시인은 2022년 6월 디카시인으로 등단한 바 있다”고 알렸다.
조남대 작가는 지난 2022년 12월 15일에 국회 교육위원회 유기홍 위원장으로부터 (사) 지구촌 문화예술재능나눔 운동본부가 주최한 문화예술 창달과 평화통일 기원 『제18회 대한민국 문화예술 명인대전』 공모전에서 문학 부문에서 우수한 성적으로 선정되어 “대한민국 문화예술 명인대전 명인대상”을 수상했다.
조남대 수필가는 2022년 6월부터는 인터넷 신문인 “데일리안”에 「조남대의 은퇴일기」라는 제목으로 은퇴 이후에 경험하고 있는 다양한 삶에 대한 소소한 일상을 격주로 연재를 하고 있다.
조남대 수필가는 은퇴 이후에도 시인, 수필가와 여행작가로 꾸준히 문학 활동과 사진 촬영을 하고 있다. 아울러 금아 피천득 선생 기념사업회 이사 등 문학 관련 단체에서 활발한 활동을 하고 있다.
