브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대학 졸업예정자 10명 중 6명이 아직 취업에 성공하지 못한 것으로 나타났다.
20일 잡코리아와 알바몬에 따르면 최근 4년제 대학 졸업예정자 396명을 대상으로 ‘졸업 전 취업성공률 조사’를 실시한 결과,
42.2%만이 ‘취업해 재직 중이다’고 밝혔고, 나머지 57.8%는 ‘아직 구직활동 중’이라고 답했다.
취업에 성공한 졸업예정자들은 평균 16개 기업에 입사지원서를 제출해 5번의 면접을 치른 후 최종 합격한 것으로 조사됐다. 3개의 기업에 입사지원시, 1번의 면접 기회를 얻은 셈이다.
반면, 아직 구직활동 중이라고 밝힌 이들은 1번의 면접 기회를 얻기 위해 평균 5곳의 기업에 입사지원한 것으로 집계됐다. 현재 구직활동 중이라고 답한 졸업예정자들의 입사지원회수는 평균 12회였고, 이 중 면접에 참여한 횟수는 3회로 파악됐다.
이처럼 어려운 과정을 통해 최종 합격을 했음에도 입사를 포기한 이들이 상당한 것으로 나타났다. ‘최종 합격 소식을 들은 후 입사를 포기한 적이 있는가?’라는 질문에 37.6%가 “그렇다”라고 응답했다.
입사를 포기한 이유는 ‘더 좋은 조건으로 취업하기 위해’라는 답변이 43.0%로 가장 높았다.
다음으로 △합격한 기업에서 제시한 연봉 등 처우가 마음에 들지 않아서(28.2%) △채용 진행 과정에서 해당 기업에 실망했기 때문에(12.1%) △애초 관심이 없던 기업 및 직무 분야라서(9.4%) 등이었다.
