【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=제9기 울진군 지역발전협의회가지난 17일 발대식을 갖고 군민과 함께하는 군정 실현을 위한 본격적인 활동에 나섰다.

20일, 울진군(군수 손병복)에 따르면 이날 행사는 손병복 울진군수를 비롯해 도의원과 군의원 등이 참석한 가운데, 의장단 선출을 위한 임시회 및 위촉장 수여 등 발대식 순으로 진행됐다.
울진군 지역발전협의회는 군정 추진에 있어 주민참여 기회를 확대하고, 의견을 수렴하여 주민과 함께하는 군정으로 자치 발전에 기여하기 위해 구성된 협의회로 2004년 12월 제1기 협의회가 최초 구성되었다.
작년 10월 30일 자로 제8기 울진군 지역발전협의회가 임기가 만료됨에 따라 민선 8기 군정 4대 목표인 실용적인 경제, 차별화된 관광, 감동 주는 복지, 섬기는 군정에 맞춰 4개 분과 47명의 위원으로 ‘제9기 울진군 지역발전협의회’를 새롭게 구성했다.
협의회의 주요 역할은 ▲주요 군정 정책 수립 및 방향 제시 ▲군정 발전 과제발굴 및 정책대안 제시 ▲주민 불편 사항 개선을 위한 과제 발굴 등에 대한 의견제시 및 자문을 중점으로 수행할 계획이다.
이날 협의회 의장으로 선출된 주홍태 의장은“군민의 목소리를 잘 경청하고, 각계각층의 아이디어와 지혜를 모으는 지역발전위원회의 역할에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
손병복 울진군수는“울진군 지역발전협의회 위원들의 풍부한 경험과 소중한 견해가 군정의 방향을 결정하는 나침반 역할을 할 것을 기대한다”며“울진군이 더욱 가치 있고, 차별화된 지역발전 선도도시로 성장하는데 지혜와 역량을 결집해 주기를 당부드린다.”고 말했다.
