브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표에 대한 체포동의안이 27일 표결에 부쳐진다. 민주당과 이재명 대표 입장에선 오늘은 운명의 날이라 할만하다.
국회는 이날 오후 본회의에서 이재명 대표 체포동의안을 표결 처리한다.
앞서 검찰은 지난 16일 위례 신도시·대장동 개발 특혜와 성남FC 후원금 의혹과 관련해 이 대표에게 구속영장을 청구했고, 법원은 이튿날인 17일 검찰에 체포동의 요구서를 보냈다.
이 대표의 체포동의안이 국회 본회의에 보고된 건 지난 24일이다. 국회는 체포동의안이 보고된 후 24시간 이후, 72시간 이내 표결에 부쳐야 하며 여야는 27일 본회의 때 표결키로 했다. 표결에 앞서 한동훈 법무부 장관의 체포동의 요청 이유 설명과 이재명 대표의 신상발언이 이어진다.
체포동의안은 재적 의원 과반 출석에 출석 의원 과반 이상이 찬성해야 가결된다. 가결된다면 이후 법원의 구속 전 피의자 심문(영장실질심사) 기일이 정해지며 부결된다면 영장은 그대로 기각된다.
현재 정치권 분위기는 민주당이 과반 의석을 차지하고 있기 때문에 부결될 가능성이 높다고 보고 있다. 민주당은 지난 21일 의원총회에서 정한 '부결 총의 투표' 방침까지 세우면서 이탈표가 발생하지 않도록 철저히 단속했다.

국민의힘은 민주당이 방탄국회를 만들고 있다며 지속 비판 중이고 정의당도 '불체포 특권 포기'라는 원칙을 고수하고 있기 때문이다. 이런 분위기 속 민주당 내 비이재명계 의원들 사이에서 이탈표가 꽤 나온다면 가결도 노려볼 수 있다는 것이다.
하지만 비명계 의원 사이에서도 이번만큼은 '부결'쪽으로 큰 공감대를 형성하고 있는 것으로 보여, 그 가능성은 생각보다 높지않은 상황이다.
