【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 농림축산식품부 주관 2023년 유기농산업복합서비스지원단지(이하, 유기농복합단지) 공모사업에 선정돼 사업비 180억 원을 확보했다고 28일 밝혔다.

이번 선정으로 왕피천공원 일대에 친환경 농산물 소비 촉진을 위한 친환경 교육.체험.소비 등 종합 서비스를 제공하는 유기농 복합문화 공간이 조성될 계획이다.
울진군은 지난 1월 농림축산식품부 공모사업에 신청하여 서류심사, 현장 및 발표심사에서 전국 4개 시.군과 경합하여 최종 사업대상지로 선정되었다.
사업장소인 왕피천공원은 울진세계친환경농업엑스포를 2회 개최한 곳이며 약 100만 명의 관광객들이 모이는 핵심 장소로 이번 선정에 큰 역할을 하였다.
왕피천공원 일원에 조성되는 유기농복합단지는 4년간 180억 원(국비 90, 지방비 90)이 투입되며 유기농복합문화센터, 청년유기농사관학교, 미래농업전시관, 친환경김치제조공장, 친환경농업 교육.체험농장 등이 들어설 예정이다.
특히, 유기농복합문화센터는 유기농홍보관, 유기농레스토랑, 키즈카페, 친환경농산물 판매장, 김치수라간 등 유기농을 주제로 전 연령층이 즐길 수 있는 건강과 치유의 공간으로 조성될 예정이다.
울진군은 사업 첫해인 2023년은 사업대상 부지 매입과 함께 사업단지에 대한 기본조사, 사업구상 및 경제성분석 등 기본계획을 수립하고 2024년에는 기본계획을 바탕으로 기본 및 실시설계와 운영계획을 수립, 2025년 공사를 착공하여 2026년 말까지 마무리할 예정이다.
손병복 울진군수는 “유기농복합단지가 울진 농업 대전환의 기반이 되어 표고버섯, 시설 엽채류 및 과채류 등 전략 품목 육성과 함께 첨단.스마트농업 단지 조성을 통해 일자리와 소득이 있어 행복한 농촌, 희망이 있는 울진농촌 만들기에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
