[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창향교는 단기 4356년(공기 2574년) 계묘년을 맞아 28일 거창향교 대성전에서 2023년 춘기 석전대제를 봉행했다.
이번 춘기 석전대제는 초헌관 박종현, 아헌관 박현규, 종헌관 신일성 유림이 각각 맡았으며, 초헌관이 분향하고 폐백을 올리는 전폐례를 시작으로 초헌례, 아헌례, 종헌례, 분헌례, 음복례, 망료례 순으로 진행됐다.
1986년 11월 1일 국가무형문화재 제85호로 지정된 석전대제는 매년 음력 2월과 8월의 상정일(上丁日)에 공자를 비롯한 선성과 선현들의 학덕을 추모하고 덕을 기리기 위해 제사를 지내는 것으로 거창향교를 비롯한 전국 향교에서 일제히 치러진다.
거창향교는 1983년 경상남도 유형문화재로 지정됐으며, 대성전에는 5성(五聖), 공문 10철(孔門十哲), 송조 6현(宋朝六賢), 우리나라 18현(十八賢)으로 총 39위의 위패가 봉안돼 있다.
