세종시 공공급식을 직접 전달해주는 배송 차량 발대식이 28일 열렸다.
세종시 이날 공공급식지원센터 주차장에서 배송단원 발대식을 갖고 이번 신학기부터 운행에 들어갔다.
앞서 시는 공공급식지원센터 개장 이후 냉동·냉장차량 70대 전량을 용역업체와 계약을 맺고 운영해왔지만, 배송용역비와 새벽 배송 수요가 증가하면서 지난해 40대를 직영(임대 방식) 운영하기로 전환했다.
이에 따라 지난해 12월부터 세종시민을 대상으로 배송단원을 공개모집했으며, 서류전형, 면접을 거쳐 최종 40명을 선정했다.
이후 배송단원 40명을 대상으로 예비교육, 배송지 사전답사 등을 마쳤으며, 배송단원은 60%가 배송경력자이면서 평균연령은 55.3세로 전문성을 높였다.
배송차량 40대 또한 전량 납품돼 래핑작업, 차량 이상 유무 등 점검도 완료했다.
시는 직영차량 확보로 기본 배송비용 절감은 물론 오후 배송이 가능해져 주말 식재료 배송을 따로 요구하는 경우나 배송처가 증가 되더라도 배송비 부담이 줄어 탄력적인 배송이 가능할 것으로 보고 있다.
또 용역계약물량이 과다해 잦은 유찰로 골머리를 앓던 이전과 달리 용역업체 차량비중이 30대로 줄어 다수의 중·소규모 화물운송업체도 참여할수 있게 돼 계약이 보다 용이해 질 것이라는 게 시 관계자의 설명이다.
