충남 미래산업 거점이 될 충남지식산업센터가 착공 5년 만에 준공됐다.
지식산업센터 준공으로 대한민국 미래 성장동력과 먹거리 창출을 위해 추진 중인 ‘천안아산 KTX 역세권 R&D 집적지구(이하 천안아산 R&D 집적지구)’ 조성 사업에 탄력이 붙을 것으로 기대된다.
충남도는 23일 천안에 위치한 충남지식산업센터에서 김태흠 지사와 박상돈 천안시장, 박경귀 아산시장 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데, 센터 준공식을 개최했다. 이날 준공식은 건립 경과보고, 감사패 수여, 테이프 커팅, 간판 제막 등의 순으로 진행했다.
이번에 준공된 충남지식산업센터는 천안시 서북구 불당동 4,510㎡의 부지에 322억 원을 투입, 지하 1·지상 6층, 연면적 1만 2,471㎡ 규모로 건립했다.입주 대상은 지식산업과 정보통신산업, 제조업, 지원 시설 등이다.
센터에는 반도체 장비제조, 엔지니어링, 소프트웨어 개발, 광학 제조 설비, 산업용 필터, 3D·AR 콘텐츠 등 12개 기업이 이달 중 입주를 마칠 예정이다.
도는 충남지식산업센터 본격 가동으로 미래 성장동력과 일자리 창출, 지역경제 활성화 등의 효과를 올릴 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
김태흠 지사는 “기업의 성패와 경쟁력은 ‘굴뚝’이 아니라 ‘지식’에 달려있다”라며 “다양한 분야의 기업들이 모여 꿈을 키우고 도전하게 될 충남지식산업센터가 명실상부한 미래산업의 요람이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원할 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, 충남지식산업센터가 들어선 천안아산 R&D 집적지구는 천안시 서북구 불당동과 아산시 탕정면 일원 68만㎡ 규모로 조성 중이다. 투입 예산은 2026년까지 국비 1196억 원을 포함, 총 4908억 원이다.
