세종시교육청이 ‘2023년 순회초등돌봄전담사’ 사업을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
단위학교의 초등돌봄 업무 부담 경감을 위해 전국 최초로 세종시교육청에서 도입한 이 사업은 단위학교 소속 초등돌봄전담사의 연가, 병가 등 업무 공백 발생이 예상되거나 발생할 경우, 순회초등돌봄전담사가 대신 학생 돌봄 업무를 수행하는 시스템이다.
순회초등돌봄전담사는 총 3명으로, 학교당 중복 신청없이 월 최대 10일까지 지원이 가능하고, 2022년 9월부터 2023년 2월까지 시범 사업으로 운영됐으며, 52교 중 28교가 총 231회를 이용하는 성과를 거두었다.
시범 사업 기간동안 진행된 설문조사에서는 71건의 응답 중 66건이 ‘만족’ 이상으로 나타나면서 좋은 호응을 얻고 있다.
한편, 올해 세종시 초등학교 53개교 233실의 돌봄교실에서 233명의 초등돌봄전담사가 맞벌이, 저소득층, 한부모 가정 등 돌봄이 필요한 학생들을 대상으로 초등돌봄교실을 운영하고 있다.
