[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 정점식 국회의원은 최근 KBS가 발표한 여론조사 결과에 대해 심각한 통계적 오류로 인해 민의의 왜곡이 발생할 수 있어 이를 바로잡고자 한다고 11일 보도자료를 통해 입장을 밝혔다.
KBS 창원은 조사기관 <한국리서치>에 의뢰해 ‘지역 국회의원 교체 필요성에 대한 여론조사’ 결과를 밝혔고, 이를 타 언론사에도 공개했다. 해당 여론조사는 통영·고성 국회의원 교체 여론 비율을 산정하면서 57명의 조사사례를 사용했는데, 이 중 민주당 지지율이 44%, 국민의힘 지지율이 32%로 경남지역 중 민주당 지지율이 가장 높은 지역인 것으로 나타났다.
하지만 정당 지지도는 그동안의 선거 결과와는 매우 배치된 결과이며, 최근 대선과 총선 결과를 보면 통영·고성 지역에서의 국민의힘 지지율은 민주당 지지율보다 일관되게 20% 이상 앞서는 결과가 나타나고 있다.
