군은 주요 기관단체장 등 사회 특정 계층에 집중됐던 명예군수를 시즌2에서는 사회적 약자의 대표성을 확대하기 위해 여성, 청년, 노인, 다문화 가정, 장애인 등 소수집단의 사람들을 명예군수로 선정해 소통 채널을 다양화하고 있다.
의령군 ‘1일 명예군수’는 군민의 생생한 의견을 군정에 반영하기 위해 2021년부터 운영해오고 있는 제도다.
