충남도의회, 학교교육 정상화 방안 모색

충남도의회가 학교교육 정상화를 위한 방안 모색에 나섰다.

이를 위해 충남도의회는 홍성현 의원(천안1·국민의힘)의 요청으로 18일 천안교육지원청에서 ‘학교교육 정상화 방안 마련 의정토론회’를 열고 정책 방향을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

이번 토론회는 최근 교육현장에서 발생하고 있는 학생의 일탈행동과 교권침해를 예방하고 적극적인 대응 방안을 모색하기 위해 토론의 장이 마련됐다.

토론회에서는 홍 의원이 좌장을 맡고, 김언중 천안여자중학교 교장이 주제 발표를, 오황균 충남교육청 장학관, 신상원 천안병천중학교 교사, 임재희 천안불당고등학교 운영위원장이 토론자로 참여해 다양한 의견을 나누었다.

이날 토론회에서 김언중 교장은 ‘학교교육 정상화를 위한 제언(중학교 의무교육을 중심으로)’을 주제로, 현재 학교교육이 위기에 빠진 원인과 학교교육 정상화를 위한 대안을 설명했다.

이어진 지정토론에서 토론자들은 인성교육을 통한 학교교육 내실화 ,촘촘한 학생정신건강 관리체계 구축 ,행복한 교실 만들기를 통한 학생들의 능동적인 수업 참여 유도 ,교권침해와 학교폭력에 대한 적극적인 대처로 긍정적인 학습환경 조성 등 학교교육 정상화를 위해 다양한 의견을 제시했다.

토론회에 참석한 홍성현 의원은 “현재 학교현장은 학생 일탈행동에 대한 대처수단 미비로 교육활동 침해에 대한 적절한 대응이 이뤄지지 않고 있다”며 “교사의 수업권과 학생의 학습권 보장 강화를 위해 적극적인 제도 개선과 지원 근거 마련이 필요하다”고 강조했다.
