상장 중견기업, 직원 평균급여 5920만원..5000만원 미만 26%

대기업 60% 수준 불과..‘한국철강’ 가장 높고 ‘엠피씨플러스’ 가장 작아

브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국내 상장 중견기업 675곳의 지난해 직원 평균 급여가 5920만원으로 집계돼 대기업의 60% 수준에 불과한 것으로 나타났다. 평균 급여가 5000만원을 밑도는 중견기업도 전체의 26.2%에 달했다.  

 

같은 기간 500대 대기업의 평균 급여는 9820만원이었다. 500대기업 중 평균 급여 5000만 원 미만 기업 비중은 3.9%에 불과했다. 

 

19일 CEO스코어에 따르면 2021년과 2022년 기준 국내 상장 중견기업 715곳 중 2년 비교가 가능한 675개 기업을 대상으로 직원(등기임원 제외)의 평균 급여를 조사한 결과, 지난해 중견기업 직원의 평균급여는 5920만원으로 전년 5610만원 대비 5.5%(310만원) 증가했다. 이는 같은 기간 500대기업(5.4%)의 증가율과 비슷했다. 

 

중견기업 여성 직원의 평균급여는 4340만원으로 남성 직원 6430만원의 67.5% 수준에 불과했다. 500대기업의 70.4%(남성 1억630만원, 여성 7490만원)보다 성별 격차가 더 심한 것으로 나타났다. 

 

상장 중견기업 남직원의 평균급여는 2021년 6080만원에서 2022년 6430만원으로 350만원(5.8%) 올랐다. 여직원은 같은 기간 4110만원에서 4340만원으로 230만원(5.6%) 올라 남직원의 급여 인상폭이 더 높았다. 

 

반면, 500대기업의 경우 남직원 평균급여는 1억80만원에서 1억630만원으로 550만원(5.5%) 올랐으며 여직원 평균은 7080만원에서 7490만원으로 410만원(5.8%) 증가해 증가액은 남직원이 더 높았지만 증가폭은 여직원이 더 높았다. 

 

중견기업 중 평균급여가 1억원을 넘는 곳은 2021년 3개(한국철강, ‧PI첨단소재, 티케이지휴켐스)에 불과했으나, 이듬해에는 6개로 두 배 늘었다. 

 

반면, 같은 기간 500대기업 중 평균급여 1억원 이상 기업 수는 2021년 87개, 2022년 110개로 중견기업과 차이가 컸다. 

 

지난해 상장 중견기업 중 직원 평균급여가 가장 높은 기업은 철강업체인 한국철강이며, 1억2700만원으로 집계됐다. 전년 대비 1400만원(12.4%) 오른 것으로 나타났다. 한국철강은 2021년 1억1300만원의 평균급여를 지급해 2년 연속 상장 중견기업 중 최고 평균급여를 기록했다. 

 

아울러 평균급여 1억원 이상인 중견기업은 △리노공업(1억1240만원) △티케이지휴켐스(1억1200만원) △제이씨케미칼(1억1100만원) △테스(1억700만원) △현대코퍼레이션홀딩스(1억원) 순이었다.

 

1억원 미만이지만 중견기업 중 평균급여 상위 20곳에 든 기업으로는 △후성(9910만원) △KNN(9900만원) △펄어비스(9630만원) △한솔케미칼(9500만원) △대덕전자(9200만원) △PI첨단소재(9200만원) △TCC스틸(9200만원) △해성디에스(9100만원) △골프존(9100만원) △유진테크(9100만원) △아세아시멘트(9050만원) △성신양회(8800만원) △카프로(8800만원) △송원산업(8700만원) 등이었다.

 

평균급여 9000만원 이상~1억원 미만 중견기업은 2021년 8개에서 2022년 11개로, 8000만원~9000만원 기업은 19개에서 27개로, 7000만원~8000만원 기업수는 65개에서 77개로 각 구간의 기업 수가 모두 증가했다.

 

지난해 평균급여가 5000만원 미만인 중견기업은 675곳 중 177개사(26.2%)에 달했다. 반면, 대기업 중 평균급여가 5000만원을 밑도는 기업은 조사 대상 333개사 중 13개(3.9%)에 불과했다.

 

지난해 상장 중견기업 중 평균급여가 가장 낮은 곳은 컨택센터 업체인 엠피씨플러스로 1720만원에 불과했다. 전년도 2170만원 대비 460만원(21%) 하락했다. 단, 콜센터라는 업무 특성상 이직 및 월중 입퇴사가 잦고, 단기근무자가 많아 나타난 현상이라는 게 엠피씨플러스 측 설명이다.

 

이어 여행사인 모두투어가 2700만원으로 두 번째로 낮은 평균급여를 기록했다. 모두투어는 코로나19가 한창이던 2021년 평균급여가 1700만원에 불과했으나 1년 사이 1000만원(58.8%) 늘었다. 모두투어는 코로나19로 인해 업황이 악화돼 실시한 고용 유지 목적의 휴직 및 휴업 직원을 평균급여에 포함했다고 공시했다.

 

이어 △서부T&D(2850만원) △한성기업(3000만원) △하나투어(3400만원) △NE능률(3400만원) △삼성출판사(3400만원) △메가엠디(3400만원) △자화전자(3420만원) △펌텍코리아(3480만원) △디지털대성(3500만원) △에스와이(3520만원) △YBM넷(3550만원) △코아시아(3570만원) △피제이전자(3600만원) △대구백화점(3600만원) △상신전자(3630만원) △휴엠앤씨(3690만원) △디딤이앤에프(3700만원) △정다운(3700만원) 등이 평균급여 하위 20위권으로 집계됐다.

 

하위 10개 기업 중 한성기업, 자화전자, 펌텍코리아를 제외한 7개사는 모두 서비스 업종이었다. NE능률, 메가엠디, 디지털대성, YBM넷 등 교육 관련 업체들이 다수 평균급여 하위권에 분포되는 양상을 보였다.
