21일 잡코리아·알바몬에 따르면 최근 취업 전 아르바이트를 해 본 경험이 있는 남녀 직장인 435명을 대상으로 ‘취업 전 몇 번의 아르바이트를 해 봤는가’ 질문한 결과, 평균 4.9번의 알바를 해본 것으로 집계됐다.
해당 질문에 직장인 2명 중 1명에 해당하는 52.6%가 알바 경험과 비슷한 직무 및 업계로 취업한 것으로 확인됐다. 이중 37.9%는 ‘알바를 했던 비슷한 직무로 취업했다’고 답했고, 14.7%는 ‘알바를 했던 유사한 업종 및 산업분야의 회사에 취업했다’고 답했다. 나머지 47.4%는 ‘알바 경험과 취업은 관련이 없다’고 답했다.
알바 경험이 취업 준비에 도움이 됐는지도 질문한 결과, 83.9%가 취업 시 알바 경험 덕을 본 것으로 확인됐다. 도움이 됐다고 생각하는 이유로는 ‘알바를 하면서 내 적성과 소질이 무엇인지 파악할 수 있었다’가 응답률 43.6%로 가장 높게 선택됐다.
