[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군 승마공원은 미래 승마사업 발전을 위해 창단한 유소년승마단을 오는 11월 30일까지 운영한다고 밝혔다.
유소년승마단은 지속 가능한 승마 인구 확보 및 승마산업의 핵심인력 육성 및 지속적인 지원을 위해 마련됐다.
유소년 승마단은 2개단을 운영 중이며, 함안군 유소년승마단과 가야초 유소년승마단이 있다.
참여하는 학생은 관내 초·중학교에 재학 중인 학생 22명이며, 초등 3학년부터 중학교 1학년으로 분포돼 있다.
단계별 학습계획에 따라 체계적인 강습 내용과 일정을 통해 군 대표로 전국단위 승마대회에 참여한다.
가야초 유소년승마단은 평일(수·금) 오후 2시~4시, 함안군 유소년승마단은 주말(토·일)에 오전 9시 30분~11시 30분에 강습을 진행한다.
군은 강습비와 승마용품 및 물품구입비 등을 지원하며 승마 인재 육성을 위해 힘쓰고 있다.
승마공원 관계자는 “함안군 유소년승마단과 가야초 유소년승마단의 경쟁과 화합을 통해 스포츠맨십을 배우며 성숙한 청소년으로 거듭날 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
