월성원자력본부, 무료급식소 자원봉사 활동 실시

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성) 김한성 본부장을 비롯한 월성본부 직원 7명이 지난 27일 경주시 동천동 소재 무료급식소인 ‘무료급식마당 이웃집’에서 자원봉사 활동을 실시했다.

월성본부는 무료급식소 ‘이웃집’에서 2005년 6월부터 자원봉사 활동을 시작했으며, 코로나19로 배식활동을 중단한 기간을 제외하고 현재까지 매월 무료급식소 봉사활동을 이어오고 있다.

또한 분기별로 ‘이웃집’ 시설운영비를 정기후원하여 무료급식소가 지속적, 안정적으로 운영될 수 있도록 지원하고 있다. 이날 참가자들은 식재료 정리 및 배식, 설거지, 청소 등의 활동을 했다.

김한성 본부장은 “동경주 지역뿐만 아니라 시내 지역까지 진정한 소통을 위해 오늘 직접 봉사활동에 참여하게 되었다”며, “앞으로도 월성본부는 지속적으로 다양한 사회공헌활동을 펼치고 진정한 소통활동으로 경주지역 주민들에게 다가가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 월성본부는 무료급식소 봉사활동 뿐만 아니라, 주변지역 저소득가정 밑반찬 배달, 월성멘토즈 봉사활동, 월성가족봉사대 결연활동 등 직원 참여형 봉사활동을 꾸준히 펼치고 있다
