【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 어린이날을 맞아 지난 2일 양북지역아동센터에서 경주시 지역아동센터 아동들에게 1천만원 상당의 어린이날 선물을 지원했다고 밝혔다.

이날 월성본부 장정일 대외협력처장을 비롯하여, 경주시 지역아동센터 장현주 협의회장(양북지역아동센터장) 및 동경주 지역아동센터장(감포, 나아, 양남)들이 대표로 참석한 가운데 어린이날 선물 지원금 전달식을 진행하고, 아동센터 지원사업과 관련한 의견교류의 시간도 가졌다.
월성본부는 2015년부터 9년째 경주시 지역아동센터 아동들에게 어린이날을 맞이하여 선물을 지원하는 사업을 진행해오고 있으며 경주시 관내 지역아동센터는 총 28개 센터로, 현재 861명 아동이 등록되어 있다.
장현주 경주시지역아동센터협의회장은 “매년 월성원자력본부에서 경주시 전체 지역아동센터 아동들을 위해 세심하게 마음을 써주셔서 너무 감사하다.”며 감사의 인사를 전했다.
월성본부는 지역아동센터 아동들을 위해 어린이날 선물 지원뿐만 아니라, 멘토링 프로그램, 사랑의 울타리 프로그램, 아인슈타인 클래스 등의 지원사업을 꾸준히 펼치고 있다.
장정일 대외협력처장은 “중요한 역할을 해주고 계신 지역아동센터장분들께 고맙게 생각한다. 이번 활동이 아이들에게 작은 행복과 기쁨을 줄 수 있으면 좋겠다.”며 “월성본부는 앞으로도 미래의 주역인 지역사회 어린이들을 위해 다양한 지원활동을 펼치겠다.”고 말했다.
