한수원, 한국환경공단과 환경·에너지 융복합사업 공동추진

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 바이오가스 활용 연료전지발전 및 수소생산 사업 개발, 바이오가스 고질화·고순도화 기술협력 및 지원, 탄소 포집·활용 등 저탄소 에너지 생산 기술협력 및 사업적용, 탄소배출권 활용모델 발굴, 유관분야 해외사업 공동개발 등과 청정에너지로의 활용이 가능한 융복합사업 추진에 힘을 모으기로 했다.

또, 전국 곳곳의 환경시설에서 수소생산, 탄소포집 등이 혼합된 다양한 형태의 바이오가스 활용 융복합사업을 본격적으로 발굴할 예정이다.

‘환경·에너지 융복합사업’은 지난해 말 제정된 ‘유기성 폐자원을 활용한 바이오가스의 생산 및 이용 촉진법’에 따라 바이오가스 활용을 촉진하는 교두보 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
