동국대 WISE캠퍼스 네팔 L.R.I. School과 국제협력 강화

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 국제교류처는 지난 5월 10일 네팔 L.R.I. School 총장 일행이 본교를 방문했다고 11일 밝혔다.

동국대학교 건학위원회 중점 사업과 연계하여 한국·네팔 불교문화교류재단의 초청으로 추진된 이번 방문은 해외 전법을 위한 기반을 강화하고 해외 한국어교육 및 불교문화 콘텐츠 전파를 목적으로 하고 있다.

이번 방문을 계기로 양교는 실질적 교류기반 구축을 통해 한국어학당 및 학생 교환사업을 추진하고, 창의적 공동 교육과정 설계를 통한 융합형 글로벌 교육 선도모델을 만들어 다양한 가치 창출에 협력해 나가기로 논의했다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스 이유경 국제교류처장은 “경주의 대표기업인 한국수력원자력(주)이 진출한 국가인 네팔의 명문 학교와의 교류는 동국대 WISE캠퍼스가 현재 추진 중인 ”글로컬대학 30“ 사업을 위한 기반 구축으로서의 의미가 크며, 앞으로 지역특화형 비자 정책 등과 연계한 정주형 우수 외국인 유학생 유치 확대를 통해 글로컬 혁신모델을 추진해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Nepal L.R.I. Reinforcing school and international cooperation

Dongguk University's WISE Campus Office of International Relations held a Nepali L.R.I. It was announced on the 11th that the school president and his party visited the school.

This visit, which was promoted at the invitation of the Korea-Nepal Buddhist Cultural Exchange Foundation in connection with the key projects of the Dongguk University Foundation Committee, aims to strengthen the foundation for overseas missions and to spread Korean language education and Buddhist cultural contents overseas.

Taking this visit as an opportunity, the two schools discussed promoting Korean Language Institute and student exchange projects by establishing a foundation for practical exchanges, and cooperating in creating various values by creating a convergence-type global education leading model through creative joint curriculum design.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Director of International Relations Lee Yoo-kyung said, “Exchanges with prestigious schools in Nepal, where Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a leading company in Gyeongju, has entered, are meaningful as a foundation for the “Glocal University 30” project currently being promoted by Dongguk University WISE Campus. In the future, we plan to promote a glocal innovation model by expanding the attraction of excellent foreign students for permanent residency in connection with regionally specialized visa policies.”
