[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군민 76.1%가 군립화장장 건립을 찬성하는 것으로 나타났다.
군은 군립화장장 건립에 대한 군민의 의견을 수렴코자 지난 4월 14일부터 22일까지 경남통계리서치에 의뢰해 실시 한 여론조사 결과를 발표했다.
조사결과 76.1%의 압도적인 찬성 여론으로 오군수의 공약사업인 군립화장장 건립에 가속도를 붙이게 됐다.
이번 여론조사는 조사 결과의 신뢰성 확보를 위해 전화조사 400명, 대면조사 100명을 기준으로 의령군 전체 거주민을 대상으로 표본 설계했으며 조사 결과 전화조사 479명, 대면조사 113명이 응답해 총 592명으로 95%신뢰수준, ±4.0%p로 매우 찬성이 45.9%, 찬성하는 편이 30.2%, 매우 반대가 4.4%, 반대하는 편 11.7%로 나타났다.
의령군은 지난 4월부터 오는 5월 23일까지 군립화장장 건립부지 공모를 실시 하고 있다.
이미 군에서는 조례제정과 타당성 조사, 추진위원 구성을 구성한 상태로 부지선정이 완료되면 신속하게 건립할 계획이라고 전했다.
