브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹이 2030 세계박람회 후보도시 부산에서 개최되는 국내 최대 규모 기후·에너지 분야 국제박람회에서 탄소중립 미래 모빌리티와 수소연료전지 신기술을 선보인다.
현대차그룹은 25일부터 27일까지 부산 해운대구 벡스코(BEXCO)에서 개최되는 ‘2023 기후산업국제박람회(World Climate Industry Expo, WCE 2023)’에 참가한다고 밝혔다.
현대차그룹은 벡스코 1전시관 내 미래모빌리티관에 전시 참가 업체 중 가장 큰 828m2에 달하는 대형 전시관을 마련하고, △플래그십 전동화 SUV EV9 △수소전기트럭 살수차 △수소연료전지 멀티콥터 드론 △수소연료전지 기반 ‘엠비전 투고(M.Vision 2GO)’ △수소 기반 탄소중립 제철 공정 모형 △수소연료전지 분리판 △수소전기트램 모형 등 그룹의 다양한 미래 모빌리티 및 수소연료전지 신기술을 전시한다.
현대차그룹은 이번 박람회를 통해 기후·에너지분야 글로벌 기업과 기관, 학계, 지자체 등 다양한 이해관계자들과 네트워크를 구축하고 탄소중립 및 기후위기 대응 미래 비전을 공유한다는 계획이다.
특히, 현대차그룹은 부산에서 개최되는 국제행사에 기후변화에 대응할 수 있는 다양한 친환경 모빌리티 및 솔루션을 전시함으로써 2030년 탄소중립 세계박람회 개최를 추진하는 부산과 한국 기업들의 엑스포 개최 역량을 미리 보여줄 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

먼저, 현대차그룹은 지난 3월 ‘2023 서울모빌리티쇼’에서 세계 최초로 공개한 기아의 플래그십 전동화 SUV EV9을 전시관 전면에 배치해 관람객들이 EV9에 적용된 첨단 친환경 신기술과 신소재를 체험할 수 있도록 할 계획이다.
EV9은 99.8kWh 대용량 배터리를 탑재하고 3D 언더커버, 공력 휠, 프론트 범퍼 에어커튼을 적용해 기아 전기차 라인업 중 가장 긴 501km의 1회 충전 주행거리를 달성했다.(19인치 휠 2WD 모델 산업부 인증 완료 기준)
