브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 스타벅스 코리아는 아름다운재단과 자립준비청년의 건강한 자립을 돕는 ‘2023 청년자립정착꿈 지원사업’의 오리엔테이션을 개최하고 지원증서 전달식을 진행했다고 25일 밝혔다.
지난 24일 스타벅스 지원센터에서 진행된 지원증서 전달식에는 스타벅스 코리아 김낙호 지원본부장, 아름다운재단 김아란 변화확산국장이 참석해 올해 선발된 25명의 자립준비청년들에게 지원증서를 전달하고, 스타벅스 커피 전문가의 특별 커피 강연을 통해 커피의 맛과 향을 체험하는 시간을 진행했다.
특히, 올해는 경복궁과 서촌 투어, 유람선 탑승 등 다양한 활동을 통해 참가자 간의 네트워크 형성을 지원했으며, 스타벅스 적선점 방문을 통한 다양한 나눔 문화를 체험하는 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 1박 2일간 오리엔테이션을 진행했다.
커뮤니티 스토어 4호점인 스타벅스 적선점은 매장에서 판매하는 모든 품목당 300원씩을 적립해 자립준비청년에 대한 인식 개선과 안정적이고 체계적인 자립 지원을 목적으로 운영되고 있다.
자립준비청년이란 아동양육시설에서 지내던 청소년들이 만 18세가 되어 법적으로 보호시설을 떠나 스스로 자립해야 하는 18세~만 24세의 청년들을 의미한다.
자립준비청년에 대한 사회적 관심과 대안 지원책 마련의 목소리가 높아짐에 따라 스타벅스는 2020년부터 아름다운재단과 함께 4년째 비진학 자립준비청년들에게 ‘청년자립정착꿈 지원사업’을 통해 다양한 자기 계발 기회를 제공하며 안정적인 사회 진출을 돕고 있다.
스타벅스는 올해도 약 3억 원의 기부금을 조성하여, ‘청년자립정착꿈 지원사업’ 대상으로 선정된 자립준비청년에게 원활한 진로 및 교육 활동에 사용할 수 있도록 1년간 최대 600만 원의 자립정착금을 지원한다.
이 밖에도 바리스타를 꿈꾸는 자립준비청년을 위한 바리스타 교육 프로그램 직업체험, 문화체험, 봉사활동, 여행 등의 프로젝트를 통해 다른 자립준비청년과의 네트워킹을 통한 정서적 지지 기반 마련 및 자립 과정에서의 정보 교환 역시 적극 지원할 예정이다.
스타벅스 코리아 김낙호 지원본부장은 “이번 지원 사업이 자립준비청년의 건강한 홀로서기에 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 발판이 되길 바란다”며 “아름다운재단과 한국사회복지관협회와 함께 청년들의 자립을 응원하겠다”고 전했다.
