외식업소 육성 위원회는 지난 4월 제정된 ‘거창군 외식업소 육성 및 지원 조례’에 따라 구성돼 앞으로 거창군의 외식업소 육성 정책개발과 대표음식 및 음식점 선정, 대표음식 관광 상품화 심의 등의 역할을 수행한다.
이날 회의에서는 구인모 군수의 위촉장 수여와 격려사를 시작으로 마리 진산·소곡 지역 음식거리 지정 심의 안건과 거창군 외식산업 세부사업에 대한 토의를 진행했다.
위원회에서는 마리 외식업 상인회에서 제출한 음식거리 활성화 계획서 음식거리 지정 여부, 향후 발전 가능성 등을 위원들과 논의해 마리면 진산·소곡 지역을 음식거리로 지정했다.
향후 마리 진산·소곡 지역 외식업 대상 교육 컨설팅, 외식업 내부 시설개선 보조사업 추진, 음식거리 외부환경 조성, 홍보 마케팅 등 음식거리 활성화를 위한 다양한 사업을 추진할 계획다.
